In December 2021, services detained four members of an organized criminal group in Wrocław County. “During searches of residences and a truck, officers seized 16 tonnes of cut tobacco worth approximately PLN 12 million, as well as cash—over PLN 45,000 and EUR 1,600,” reports Agnieszka Rzeźnicka-Gniadek, spokesperson for the Lower Silesian KAS.
She adds:
Shila, a German Shepherd trained to detect tobacco and drugs, took part in the operation.
The proceedings are supervised by the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Wrocław. Three men were remanded in custody, while the fourth was released on bail.
