During the coronavirus epidemic in April this year, there were far more people in the church on Jana Pawła II Street in Bolesławiec than regulations allowed. We wrote about it in two reports: “Around 100 people in a church in Bolesławiec. Several dozen too many” and “Too many people in the church. See in the video how the Polish police respond”.
The proceedings concerning compliance with Polish law lasted several months. Eventually, the police referred the case to court, but without specifying the amount of the penalty.
The District Court in Bolesławiec decided to fine the parish priest 500 zł. The man was also ordered to cover the court costs.
The verdict is final.
