A 33-year-old man detained by Jelenia Góra police officers has been remanded in custody for three months. He is suspected of robbing his mother. The son forcibly broke into the apartment, beat her and robbed her. His haul consisted of cash and a mobile phone. The man will now face court for the crime he committed. He could face up to 12 years in prison.

Police confirmed that the incident occurred on November 30 of this year in one of the apartments in Jelenia Góra. The son forcibly broke into his mother’s apartment, beat her, then snatched PLN 200 from her hand and stole her mobile phone. The victim estimated her losses at nearly PLN 900.

The woman notified the Police about the incident. As a result of the actions they undertook, officers detained the 33-year-old man suspected of committing the crime.

The man was taken into police custody. He could face up to 12 years in prison for robbery. The District Court in Jelenia Góra ordered pretrial detention for three months as a preventive measure against the detainee.
