Members of the Bolesławiec Women’s Association “In Gremio”: Ewa Słonina, Małgorzata Orzoł and Czesława Grochalska-Zielonka – acting as the Social Committee of public collection no. 2021/1706/KS for patients of the Psychosomatic Ward in Bolesławiec – have completed their activities. The collection of material donations lasted from 12 August until the end of October this year. The committee:

Thanks to the great kindness and courtesy of the owners and employees, donations were also accepted at the following institutions: Technika Biurowa – BIS, 1 Kubika Street, and Auto Centrum Zmaczyńscy, 13 Grunwaldzka Street.

The donations included, among other things: anti-bedsores mattresses, bedding sets, sheets, bedside toilets, adult diapers, pulse oximeters, a radio, standing fans, electric kettles, magnetic boards, electric shavers, a hair dryer, board games for adults, colouring books for adults, books, crayons, pens, foams, washcloths, soft sportswear (tracksuits and T-shirts), blankets, toilet paper, folders, binders, socks, various stationery items for use in occupational therapy and the office, as well as other small items useful to hospitalised people.

The residents of Lower Silesia and our western neighbours showed that they have big hearts. Many anonymous donors took part in the collection. The Social Committee of the collection sincerely thanks them for their involvement. However, we know the identities of some donors. At the instigation of the Social Committee, the management of Gerresheimer Bolesławiec S.A. donated PLN 2,000 to the psychosomatic ward.
