The autumn round of the football competitions has ended. How does the BKS president assess the senior team's performance in the round just completed? Was the plan achieved?
President Michał Lis: It was a very good round for us. The team looked good defensively, conceding only 9 goals. We are leaders with 40 points and one game in hand, so I assess the round positively. I was also positively surprised by the newly formed BKS Bolesławiec II team led by Adrian Kulesza, which, just like Sebastian Tylutki's players, occupies first place in the B Class table. Thus, both teams deserve praise.
Returning to the BKS Bolesławiec first team and the regional league, I would like to mention that we will be looking for a striker during the winter transfer window. As everyone knows, we lost Marek Majka, who suffered a knee injury. We wish him a speedy recovery. Recently, several players serving in the army also had to leave for the eastern border. Youth players Karol Borowski and Kuba Kowalonek made excellent debuts in the first team. Recent juniors Kamil Skiba, Mateusz Medyński, Kamil Posadowski, Jakub Walczak and Dawid Kowalonek have matured at senior level.
The team is based on its own academy graduates. We have the youngest team at regional league level, with an average age below 23. You ask whether the plan was achieved? I can now admit that I did not expect it to go this well. I am very pleased, but as we know, this is only the first round. The spring round lies ahead and will verify the entire season. Hopefully, it will end without any changes to the positions in the tables of our teams. As for the objective, there is only one: promotion!
Czy seniorzy BKS awansują do IV ligi?
And apart from the seniors, how are the other teams doing?
The youth groups are developing. Children as young as 5 begin training at BKS. Players from the children's and youth groups are called up to the regional and macroregional squads. This is a huge success for the club. It is a natural pool of players for the first team. The older juniors are fighting bravely to remain in the LDJ. There are several boys in this team with promising football potential. Meanwhile, on Sunday our younger juniors will play a playoff against Lechia Dzierżoniów for promotion to the Second Provincial League. Unfortunately, we lack coaches. We invite coaches from Bolesławiec and the surrounding area to work at BKS.
Perhaps to conclude, what is the club's biggest concern?
What is most needed is a training facility. A facility that would allow all teams to train throughout the year—in other words, a full-size artificial pitch. At present, we practically stop training on a full-size pitch at the turn of October and November and return to it only in March.
Thank you for the interview, and I wish you success in the competition and promotion.
Thank you.
