During the session of the Nowogrodziec Municipal Council held on November 16, councillors voted on a draft resolution “on determining the salary of the Mayor of Nowogrodziec.” The document reads:

[…] The salary of the Mayor of Nowogrodziec shall be set at the following levels:

  1. a basic salary of PLN 10,430.00 per month,
  2. a functional allowance of PLN 3,450.00 per month,
  3. a special allowance amounting to 30% of the basic salary and functional allowance per month.

The justification also stated, among other things:

The salary of the Mayor of Nowogrodziec has been established at the specified level and in accordance with the applicable law […].

Interestingly, the Nowogrodziec Municipal Council adopted the resolution with 13 votes in favor. No one voted against it, and no one abstained. What is more, no discussion of the aforementioned legal act was even held during the session.
