The incident took place overnight from 8 to 9 March. At around 3:00 a.m., a police patrol spotted two people near a car parked in one of the car parks in Bolesławiec. When they saw the officers, the suspects began to flee. The police gave chase and soon detained the would-be burglars.
The detainees are brothers, aged 24 and 16. Both are residents of Lwówek County. It was established that the suspects wanted to break into the car and steal its radio. The police foiled their plans.
The 24-year-old faces up to 10 years in prison, while the younger brother will appear before a family court.
