The District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec summed up Sunday’s operations. On 7 November, two medium-sized fires occurred. The uniformed officers:
The first fire broke out in Czerna, in a sawdust warehouse. [...] at 05:17, a report of a fire was received by the Command Post of the District Commander of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec. The duty officer immediately dispatched three units from JRG Bolesławiec and volunteer fire service units from Czerna, Nowogrodziec, Wykroty, Gierałtów and Zebrzydowa. When the first units arrived at the scene, firefighters found a warehouse shelter fully engulfed in flames, with its sheet-metal roof collapsed inward. The fire was extinguished using three hose lines. Once the fire had been brought under control, firefighters carried out dismantling work on the wooden structures and roof covering.
They also added:
Firefighting operations lasted two hours and thirteen minutes. Seven firefighting vehicles and 32 firefighters, as well as a police patrol, took part in the operation.
The second fire occurred in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki. The firefighters:
At approximately 22:35, the duty officer at the Command Post of the District Commander of the State Fire Service received a report of a fire in a barn adjoining an abandoned residential building. The first units from fire protection services arriving at the scene found the building completely engulfed in flames. The firefighters secured the scene, directed water from four hose lines onto the burning barn, and used two water streams defensively to protect the residential building directly threatened by the fire.
The building was searched for people; after all rooms had been thoroughly searched, no injured persons were found.
They added:
After extinguishing the fire, firefighters began dismantling work and removed smouldering hay from inside the barn, then soaked it again outside.
Firefighting operations lasted twelve hours and thirty-six minutes. The following units took part in the operation:
