Swans can be seen while walking along the Bobrowa Ścieżka trail. It is not known whether the birds will remain on the Bóbr for longer. The Mute Swan is a partially migratory bird. If they have enough food, they remain in one place during the winter as well. However, it should be remembered that feeding swans bread is unhealthy for them.

According to Wikipedia, swans’ food consists of:

Plant matter, supplemented with mussels, snails and insect larvae. During the first days of life, cygnets feed on decaying vegetation obtained by the mother. Food is often taken directly from the bottom of a body of water by submerging the entire front of the body and raising the rear above the water. Each day, they pull out up to 10 kg of submerged aquatic plants. An improper diet, for example one rich in bread, can cause angel wing, an incurable condition in adult birds.

Swans living in the wild should not be fed, except during periods of severe winter. Feeding them bread, however, harms their digestive system. If someone nevertheless insists on giving swans something to eat, it is best to offer them grain, cereal flakes or bran. Finely chopped vegetables may also be given, including cooked vegetables, but they must not be salted.
