51 percent of the shares in the new company are held by the County Office. The remainder belongs to the Polish-American company Finryan. The company provides restructuring and consulting services.
Potential future shareholders include the city and rural municipalities. The County Office has approached them with a proposal to join the company. Hospital director Dariusz Kłos believes that the facility can be transformed by the end of this year. Despite the changes, the hospital will continue to serve a public role, the director assures. At the same time, he denies rumors that Finryan is supposed to contribute PLN 17 million to the company. The company's capital amounts to the PLN 50,000 required by law.
Finryan International, Ltd. is a Warsaw-based company with American capital that has carried out several dozen financial operations of this kind in Poland. Unlike banks, the American investor does not require the county to guarantee the loan, while hospitals continue to perform their role by admitting and treating patients.
The debt of Bolesławiec Hospital currently exceeds PLN 20 million. In April, the funds from the loan taken out by the ZOZ in the autumn of last year ran out.
