As with previous COVID-19 vaccinations, the third dose, the so-called booster dose, will also be voluntary. All adults who received their last vaccination six months ago will receive referrals.

Doctors praise this decision, especially now that the fourth wave of the pandemic is gathering pace in Poland and the number of new infections is increasing week by week (...).
(...) The vaccination is administered with a Pfizer/BioNTech product, regardless of the type of vaccine previously used for the primary vaccination with the first and second doses.
Data posted on government websites on Friday show that 19,793,580 people are fully vaccinated, meaning they have received two doses of vaccines from Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca, or the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
