Renata Dorosz, a teacher and instructor leading the “Akademia Malucha”, received an award from the Bolesławiec County Board on the occasion of National Education Day. It was presented in recognition of her exceptional commitment to many years of creative work with the youngest children.

The director of the Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury, Dariusz Uściński, honoured Katarzynę Sas and Joannę Mysłek-Michnowską, who work with children and adults, developing their artistic talents and opening up the world of all forms of art to them, as well as Annę Leśniewską, who has run a contemporary and modern dance studio at the MDK for 25 years. Each year, around 130 female and male dancers train under Anna Leśniewska’s direction. Another instructor honoured was Anna Idkowiak, choreographer and guardian of the “Bolesławiec” Song and Dance Ensemble. Local ensembles instructor Marek Łętowski also received an award.

Director Uściński also honoured the administrative and service staff who are responsible every day for organising the operation of the cultural centre and the Teatr Stary. Without their work, this imaginative, artistic world would be difficult to manage. The honours were received by: Iwona Gruda, Marzena Kozioł, Łukasz Byzdra and Andrzej Malcher.
