At the end of July, we reported that Bolesławiec was among the cities whose applications were approved under the Ministry’s “Sportowa Polska” programme. The amount awarded was 2 million zlotys, earmarked for the “Construction of the Municipal Stadium at Spółdzielcza Street in Bolesławiec and Construction of a multifunctional mini-pitch at Śluzowa Street in Bolesławiec”.
Reader:
What about the renovation of the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street? The city received the money, but there has been no word about the renovation. The mini-pitch on Śluzowa Street is already there, built with part of this money.
Please raise this issue, which has received so much publicity.
Bolesławiec City Hall spokesperson Agnieszka Gergont:
The renovation work at the municipal stadium will only be possible after an agreement on co-financing the project has been signed with the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport.
The Ministry has already initiated the co-financing procedure; we are currently waiting for the co-financing agreement.
The mini-pitch at Śluzowa Street is covered by reimbursement of costs incurred earlier.
