A gymnast practicing on a pole could be a neutral sight. If we had reliable sex education, we would pay attention only to this person’s skills, the work put into acquiring them, and it would simply be a gymnastics exercise. Education about human sexuality taught from preschool could have such an impact on society. However, that is not the case.
It is currently impossible to separate pole dancing from sexuality, isn’t it? And most people still cannot separate it from the image of red-lit bars serving alcohol to adult men. Bars with striptease, drugs and prostitution. Those commenting on photos from the awards gala noticed this immediately.
"And what is the “lady” doing on the pole? A moment ago, there were minors on stage. Children entered after the “lady” as well, by the way. The world is going to the dogs."
"The girl probably does well what she does, but is this the time and place for such a performance? I don’t think so. Even 12-year-olds felt disgust, including my daughter and her friends. Everyone will probably lynch me now, but so be it."
Polish women and men badly need a healthy attitude toward their own sexuality, taught at school without Mrs. Dulska’s morality. A school where only the catechist can speak about abortion without supervision, because she talks about “murdering the unborn.” Meanwhile, sexual-health professionals need a hundred permissions, and even then they are unwelcome in Czarnek’s schools.
Saint or harlot
Either a mother, wife and “immaculate virgin,” or a depraved murderer of unborn children who must be punished for sex by giving birth to a child. This is the view promoted by Catholic ideology in Polish schools. So please do not be surprised that when people see a girl in underwear and a top on a pole on stage during an awards gala for academic achievement, they have mixed feelings.
We need sex education like we need oxygen. A normal approach to the body, especially the female body, to sexual health, and knowledge of human rights and people’s reproductive rights. Because when there is no knowledge, demons are born in the minds of prigs who try by force to preserve “purity” and sexual abstinence.
Or perhaps a rainbow on stage? No way!
If children with a rainbow flag had appeared on that same stage instead of the girl practicing on the pole, I think the police would have intervened. Most of these “enlightened” teachers would not have allowed a piece of six-coloured fabric to be shown, lest it “corrupt” the eyes of the innocents. Besides, there was also a religious brother on stage. He undoubtedly appeared in the role of a teacher. A religious brother and a rainbow? No, Polish schools will never allow that!
