Officers from the Bolesławiec police detained a man who repeatedly went to his former partner’s home, threatened to take her life and struck her in the face, causing bodily injuries. “The aggressor also damaged the entrance door at the victim’s workplace and threatened another employee,” reports asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters. “The perpetrator was under the influence of alcohol.”

She adds:

Given the suspect’s previous conduct and the fact that the 36-year-old had already been convicted of criminal threats and property damage, neither the Bolesławiec officers nor the District Prosecutor had any doubt that the man should be isolated.

The court remanded the abuser in temporary custody for three months. The man could face a sentence of between three months and as many as five years in prison.
