The incident took place on Wednesday, October 6, after 7 a.m., on national road no. 30, in Chmieleń (Lwówek County). As reported by the lwowecki.info website:
Preliminary information indicates that the Mercedes driver, traveling from the direction of Jelenia Góra, moved into the opposite lane. The driver of the second truck, coming from the opposite direction, tried to “swerve to the side” and moved as far onto the shoulder as possible. However, he was unable to avoid a collision with the larger vehicle combination.
The Mercedes driver left the scene; a search for him is underway. The other driver was attended to by an emergency medical team. More at lwowecki.info.
