The issue of rubbish around the PCK containers returned at the September session of the Bolesławiec City Council. Law and Justice councillor Bogdan Biernat asked about the possibility of removing the containers from Kościelna and Zacisze streets. As he argued, they are being damaged, and clothes are scattered around them. What is more, people then relieve themselves on the clothing; vermin and rats breed there.
Mayor Piotr Roman stated that the municipal authorities had held several meetings with PCK. He admitted that at one point the Municipality of Bolesławiec wanted to terminate the agreement with the organization. “This is a major problem,” he said. He added that he himself had witnessed someone from Żagań arriving in Bolesławiec with a whole car trunk full of clothes.
What was decided? The city will examine the matter and try out various locations for the aforementioned containers so that the problem disappears.
