The Volunteer Fire Service in Nowa Kuźnia celebrated the 60th anniversary of the unit’s founding. The celebrations at the square beside the fire station and community hall in Nowa Kuźnia began with an outdoor Mass celebrated by the parish priest, Father Stanisław Łobodźec. Guests included Brigadier General Ryszard Dąbrowa, the Bolesławiec County PSP commander, Brigadier Andrzej Śliwowski, and the heads of Volunteer Fire Service units from across Gromadka Municipality.
During the official part of the celebrations, Gromadka Municipality Head Dariusz Pawliszczy presented the newly funded unit banner to Mariusz Rzepa, president of the Nowa Kuźnia Volunteer Fire Service.
The ceremony concluded with road rescue demonstrations and physical fitness competitions involving firefighters.
