– Criminal investigators from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec have once again prevented a significant quantity of narcotics from entering circulation. As a result of intensive operational activities, they arrested a 62-year-old man. They located a greenhouse in which, in addition to tomatoes, well-developed cannabis plants were also growing, and they were in the final stage of growth – reports Police Inspector Monika Kaleta Monika Kaleta from the Lower Silesian Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – The suspect involved in the illegal cultivation of plants is a resident of a small town in Bolesławiec County.
At the 62-year-old’s property, police secured 15 cannabis plants, some as tall as 230 cm, as well as 14 plants that had already been cut down.
Spokeswoman: – Investigators charged the arrested man with cultivating a significant quantity of narcotics, an offense carrying a sentence of up to 8 years in prison.
She adds:
The man explained that the plants had medicinal properties and that he cultivated them for his own use.
