Criminal investigators from Lwówek Śląski, acting on information they had obtained, entered one of the properties in the Gryfów Śląski municipality. “From the moment they entered, nearly 2.5-metre-high cannabis plants growing in the home garden were visible,” reports Sergeant Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer of the Lwówek County Police Headquarters. “At the scene, the police secured a total of 12 cannabis plants, as well as nearly 200 grams of dried marijuana, a gas weapon and ammunition. Four people were detained in connection with the case.”

She adds:

A 35-year-old man from Zgorzelec County was charged with cultivating cannabis plants capable of producing a significant quantity of the plant’s herb.

The young man could face a sentence of between six months and as many as eight years in prison.
