The ceremony at the municipal cemetery in Bolesławiec, beneath the Monument to Those Deported to Siberia, began with the playing of the national anthem. The following speakers then addressed those gathered:
- President of the Bolesławiec Branch of the Siberian Exiles Association – Maria Niemczuk,
- First Deputy Mayor of Bolesławiec – Renata Szewczyk,
- Bolesławiec County Head – Tomasz Gabrysiak.
In his speech, the County Head recalled the fate of Poles who died during the September Campaign and how, in the following years, their compatriots were murdered or deported to Siberia and concentration camps.
Following the speeches by representatives of the local authorities, the ceremony participants took part in a prayer led by Rev. Stanisław Kusik, after which Grzegorz Jankowski, commander of the 6th Kaniowski Lancers Regiment, read the roll call of the fallen. The observances concluded with the laying of flowers beneath the monument, while students sang the Siberian Exiles’ anthem.
