The bomb disposal specialists detonated the projectile at the site where it was found.

Bomb disposal specialists:

It is important to be aware that explosives used in military equipment are, in practice, completely resistant to weather conditions and retain their explosive properties regardless of their production date.

If you have any suspicion about a found object, call the bomb disposal specialists. They will remove the danger; they are properly prepared to do so.

What should you do if you find unexploded ordnance?

Soldiers:

  1. Do not touch such objects.
  2. Secure the area against access by unauthorized people, such as children, and mark the place where the object was found.
  3. Immediately report it by calling the emergency number 112, the Police, Municipal Police, Fire Service or Forestry Service.
