Reader:
[…] almost a month has passed, and the manholes have not been secured.
And added:
Under the overpass, someone came up with the idea of welding the cover shut, but on top nothing has changed :(
Let us remind you. In mid-August, we reported that Reader wrote to us via Facebook:
I would like to raise the issue of stolen manhole covers on the overpass located between the roundabout on Road 363 and the roundabout by al. Tysiąclecia, above the bypass. I reported the matter to the police last week, I think on Tuesday, and to this day nothing has changed regarding it.
On the day I reported it, I was at the site with a police patrol and showed them the manholes missing their covers—there are four of them; the officers wrote a report, took photographs, and the matter apparently came to a standstill.
And noted:
The point is that the described overpass is missing the covers over manholes that are approximately 2 to 3.5 metres deep. There is water visible at the bottom. Two of these manholes are slightly to the side of the roadway on the overpass, but the deeper ones are already in the lane on the left and right sides.
And stated:
The manholes are wide enough for a child to fall in without any problem; even an adult could fit into the hole. Please raise this issue before some tragedy occurs. Our dog has already fallen into one of the manholes; fortunately, it was wearing a harness and was attached to a leash, so we were able to pull it back up.
We continue to appeal to the administrator to take action!
