The burglary took place on the night of February 10–11, in one of the localities in Osiecznica Municipality. The perpetrators entered the apartment by forcing open the door and then stole consumer electronics. Police officers from Nowogrodziec identified and arrested those suspected of committing the crime. The arrests took place on February 15. The detainees are six men aged between 18 and 28. Officers determined that the men had sold the stolen items to a resident of Nowogrodziec Municipality. Police arrested the woman later that same day (February 15). Equipment originating from the theft, including a television and a home theater system, was found in her apartment. The woman also had a bag containing 40 portions of amphetamine on her.
The detained men will stand trial for burglary, for which they face up to 10 years in prison. The woman will face charges of handling stolen goods and possessing drugs, for which she may face up to 5 years in prison.
