During the lighting of a stove, the building became heavily smoke-filled. Smoke appeared in the ventilation grilles and apartments. Alarmed residents called the fire service. Firefighters ordered the residents to evacuate to the stairwell in order to ventilate the rooms.

The incident occurred after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, in a building on Warszawska Street. Firefighters ordered an evacuation because of heavy smoke. Five people were evacuated to the stairwell.
