Glina Show Bolesławiec 2021: programme, attractions and schedule

For the fourth time, we invite you to the spectacular Glina Show programme! On Saturday afternoon, 21 August, during the 27th Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival.

PROGRAMME

Saturday, 21 August

15:00 ZUMBA show – performance by Magdalena Kwiatkowska-Korczowska and Joanna Piekarz’s ZUMBA dance team
15:30 FITNESS show FIT STYLE ZONE: Pole Dance and Street Workout demonstrations and competitions with prizes, free physiotherapy consultations, hand and upper-body massages, and a natural spa & wellness cosmetics presentation
16:00–17:00 BODY PAINTING show – models painted by artists from the Artistic Handicrafts Cooperative “Ceramika Artystyczna”, Andrzej Pachom from Ceramika Artystyczna Kaola – Kaola Studio, and artists from Ceramika Millena, plus a film makeup demonstration by Jadwiga Raczko, a graduate of SzkolArt Wrocław
17:00–18:00 MUSIC show: a recital by Wiktoria Parkita promoting the album “Reaching for Dreams” and a mini-concert of acting songs prepared by young artists Eliza, Filip and Magda!

ZUMBA SHOW

The ZUMBA team of Magdalena Kwiatkowska-Korczowska and Joanna Piekarz will open the fourth edition of Glina Show during the Ceramic Festival. Several dozen dancers from Magda and Joanna’s ZUMBA team will dance for the second time at Glina Show 2021 to hot summer rhythms. “Life is better when you dance”—this is how the girls encourage everyone to dance together. This year, the team will perform wearing masks designed especially for the dancers.

FITNESS SHOW

The modern FIT STYLE ZONE club has prepared excellent attractions in the town at Bankowa Street.

Pole Dance – dancing using a gymnastics pole, combining gymnastics, dance and fitness. The demonstration will feature trainer Aleksandra Jakubus, who has trained in pole dance for about six years. Her students will perform with Ola
Street Workout – a gymnastics demonstration using one’s own body weight in a specially prepared exercise area. The demonstration will feature personal trainer and fitness instructor Mariusz Szczepanowski.

In the special fitness zone, Fit Style Zone town, Bankowa Street (park)

BODY PAINTING SHOW

Body painting, meaning painting female and male models, is a very popular attraction at Glina Show. This year, artists and decorators from three Bolesławiec ceramics companies will demonstrate painting models. Our partner for four years has been Ceramika Artystyczna Artistic Handicrafts Cooperative. The outstanding creations of the Cooperative’s artist-painters could be seen during the second and third editions of Glina Show. This year, the model decoration project was created by Maria Starzyk. The designer proposed stylised floral motifs in shades of red, green, white and many tones of cobalt. The designers who will paint the model are: Lucyna Lenkiewicz, Sylwia Dworzecka and Maria Starzyk.

This year, Ceramika Artystyczna Kaola – Kaola Studio will also join us; the designer and creator of the decoration will be Andrzej Pachom, along with artists from Ceramika Millena.

A film makeup demonstration by Jadwiga Raczko, a graduate of SzkolArt Wrocław—the makeup and wig-making school—will be a new feature. The makeup will be innovative because it will be applied to models completely covered with clay slip. During the demonstrations, visitors will be able to observe the work of the decorators and the professional makeup artist. The results of their work may also be photographed.

MUSIC SHOW

Young singer Wiktoria Parkita will perform during Glina Show. Wiktoria has released her debut album, “Reaching for Dreams”. The young resident of Osiecznica recorded it with Wojtek Szajwaj, an excellent blues guitarist known, among other things, from Obstawy Prezydenta and the entirely non-blues band Sumptuastic. The singer, composer and lyricist is also responsible for the graphic design of her album. A vocal ensemble performing acting songs will also appear. Three young friends—Eliza, Filip and Magda—will sing a special repertoire prepared for this event at Glina Show.

FINALE WITH A PARADE, DRUMS AND A GLINA SHOW TREAT

The event will conclude with a parade of Glina Show participants around the Bolesławiec market square, accompanied by the drummers’ band from Mariusz Raźny’s Tiriba percussion ensemble.

Fit Glina Show Power Balls

We also have a tasty surprise for Glina Show spectators: Fit Glina Show Power Balls with amaranth. Together with Dominika Menegoni, a culinary vlogger who cooks with passion and love, we are creating a Glina Show snack: a flavour associated with summer, sunshine, nature and health. A tasty hallmark of our event.

The hero of the Fit Glina Show Power Balls is amaranth. It is one of the oldest grain species and one of the oldest plants cultivated by humans. Amaranth seeds are a source of vitamins, amino acids and easily digestible protein. Importantly, they contain no gluten. Amaranth seeds support weight loss because dishes containing them are filling while low in calories. Amaranth is also rich in fibre, which improves digestion and speeds up metabolism. It also generally improves bowel function, so it is recommended for people with digestive problems. Pregnant women should include amaranth dishes in their diets because it contains folic acid, which prevents problems with maintaining pregnancy and supports the proper development of the foetus. Amaranth is also a natural antibiotic and has documented antifungal properties.

Małgorzata Dorosz from Efekt Wow Dekor Tailoring Workshop “Perła” and Grażyna Hanaf are the authors of the Glina Show town design. This year, delicate lace will reign supreme. We are carrying out this project with the support of PHU Extradom Marcin Cawricz.

The fourth edition of Glina Show is part of the 27th Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival and is being created in cooperation with the Bolesławiec City Office and the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramics Centre.
