Addressing the ceremony’s participants, Lieutenant Colonel Paweł Jędryczka emphasized the importance and significance of the Battle of Warsaw for preserving the Homeland’s sovereignty and protecting Europe from the Bolshevik revolution:
Today, once again, we remember that time with great respect and reflection. By paying tribute to our soldier predecessors, we express our remembrance of their momentous deeds and the moral values they cultivated, which, despite the passage of years, remain unchanged for soldiers and citizens alike—values of God, Honor and Homeland. Let us remember this today, when Poland is experiencing good times: no one has given us sovereignty and independence forever. We must care for them through daily effort and endeavor, and sometimes they may require sacrifices from us.
Lt. Col. Jędryczka also referred to Polish-American cooperation, both in the area of training and in joint participation in celebrations of holidays and historical events important to both nations.
After the speeches by the Bolesławiec County Governor and the mayor, in which they emphasized the good cooperation with the Bolesławiec regiment and the importance of the military in ensuring the security of the region and the state, the Representative Song of the Polish Armed Forces was sung. The ceremony concluded with a parade of subunits.
