Przemysław Filipowicz made his first films in Bolesławiec. Our portal produced several of his films, including “Peron B,” “Koniec muru,” “Sen,” “Portret Ewy” and “Fikszyn.” Their premieres took place at the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre, which also strongly supported the young filmmaker.
Today, Przemysław Filipowicz (since September 2009, a directing student at the Faculty of Radio and Television of the University of Silesia) represents the independent Kraków-based Butcher’s Film group. Filipowicz has been nominated for the Off Discovery of the Year 2009 award for the film “8% z niczego.” It is the story of Andrzej, a real-estate agent who, through his clients, unexpectedly becomes entangled in a complicated love intrigue. The film’s screenplay is an adaptation of a short story by contemporary Israeli writer and filmmaker Edgar Keret. We wrote about the film’s premiere [ HERE ]
The nominees for the Off Discovery of the Year award were selected by the editorial team of the “Kino Polska” television channel’s offbeat section, which has provided the competition with special media patronage for the third time. Readers of Stopklatka.pl can vote for the winner in the final round. The voting results will be announced on 26 February 2010 on the portal’s website.
The editorial team of the IstotneInformacje.pl portal and newspaper wishes Przemysław Filipowicz success.
