– A criminal group involved in drug trafficking has been dismantled by the Lower Silesian and Lubusz National Revenue Administration, the Central Bureau of Investigation of the Police and the National Prosecutor’s Office. Some 150 kg of hashish and nearly 27 kg of heroin, with a total value of over PLN 14 million, were secured, reports Sebastian Polański of the Lower Silesian KAS. – A police dog, the Labrador Carlos, took part in the operation in Słubice.

In April 2021, a truck was stopped for inspection in Słubice. In the pallets being transported to Poland, the dog detected packages containing drugs. They were located in the tractor unit’s cab, in a drawer and on the upper bunk. Nearly 27 kg of heroin was secured.

Earlier, in February 2021, police officers seized nearly 150 kg of hashish worth PLN 8 million.

Sebastian Polański: – The drugs were smuggled in trucks belonging to two transport companies.

He adds:

The investigators’ findings indicate that Poland was not only the destination country but also a transit country.

Eight suspects were charged with participation in an organized criminal group.
