The incident occurred at a cemetery by one of the churches in Lwówek County. Criminal investigators there arrested two men (aged 21 and 18), residents of Złotoryja County, suspected of stealing sandstone slabs from the cemetery. The losses were estimated at PLN 3,000.
– During the procedures carried out with the detainees, dried plant material was found on one of them, which turned out to be marijuana – reports Sergeant Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski. – Moreover, while the men were being charged, they insulted the officers with vulgar words, and one of the perpetrators also violated the bodily integrity of a police officer.
The young suspects will answer for their actions before the court. They could face a sentence of between three months and as many as five years in prison.
