Criminal investigators from the Nysa group received information about where the stolen cars might be located. “As a result of the actions taken, officers found Kia Nitro and Hyundai Santa Fe vehicles on a property in the Bogatynia municipality. Both had been stolen in Germany, one at the end of July and the other at the beginning of August this year,” says Commissioner Agnieszka Goguł, press officer for the District Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec. “The total value of the recovered property exceeded PLN 350,000.”
The police are currently carrying out actions aimed at clarifying all the circumstances of the case and apprehending the thieves. Let us recall that theft is punishable by three months to five years in prison. Burglary can result in a prison sentence of up to ten years.
