The incident occurred on Thursday, July 29. “At 2 p.m., the duty officer at the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters received a call reporting a vehicle hitting an energy-absorbing barrier at the exit of the A4 motorway,” reports asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer for the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters.
She adds: “Road-police officers who arrived at the scene determined that, while leaving the motorway, the 70-year-old driver performed the turning maneuver incorrectly and drove into an energy-absorbing barrier.
Fortunately, no one was hurt. Interestingly, the driver was unable to explain how it happened.
Bolesławiec police:
We appeal for maximum concentration behind the wheel. We are halfway through the summer holiday travel period. If we are planning a longer journey, we should also plan breaks for the driver to rest.
