The storm that passed over the county shortly before midnight on July 14 caused extensive damage. After the storm, trees and broken branches were cleared away. Unfortunately, the District Roads Authority did not send a crew to the bridge on Mostowa Street, which was covered with leaves and branches, to clear them.
Twelve days later, torrential rain fell again in Bolesławiec. The drainage grates, clogged with leaves and branches, failed to drain the water, and on July 26 the entire length of Mostowa Street looked like a Venetian canal. Such neglect can only be called irresponsible sloppiness. The road administrator, namely the Bolesławiec County Board, is responsible for the bridge and for keeping the drainage grates clean.
Below are the people responsible for this negligence:
- Tomasz Gabrysiak
- Mirosław Horzempa
- Stanisław Chwojnicki
- Ryszard Kalus
- Jolanta Deberna
