Drunk driver thrown through a window, two people injured). “The intoxicated 29-year-old lost control of his passenger car on a wet road and left the road, hitting a fence. On the front passenger seat, the driver was carrying his 5-year-old son without a child seat and without a fastened seat belt. Fortunately, the child was not injured in the incident, while the intoxicated father, who suffered a spinal injury, was taken to hospital,” reports junior warrant officer Aleksandra Pieprzycka of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. “The police have already confiscated the driver's licence.”

The police are also taking action under Article 160 of the Penal Code, which concerns exposing a child to the danger of loss of life or health; this is punishable by up to five years’ imprisonment.
