Towards the end of the year, it seemed that little would change regarding the privatization of the hospital. Shares in the company were to be held by the county, Finryan, the city of Bolesławiec and the surrounding municipalities. Now it turns out that this is no longer one hundred percent certain.
Bolesławiec.org has learned unofficially that shares in the Szpital Powiatowy company would be held—as before—by the county and the surrounding municipalities, as well as—and this is noteworthy—local entrepreneurs.
Let us recall that at the end of November, representatives of the Finryan Capital Group, the county authorities and the director of the Bolesławiec hospital argued that establishing a limited liability company called Szpital Powiatowy Sp. z o.o. would save the indebted Bolesławiec county hospital. County head Krzysztof Konopka assured everyone that Finryan would not pose a threat to anyone. Why the idea of such privatization was abandoned, however, is not known for now.
Thanks to Finryan’s involvement, a preliminary agreement was reached with the hospital’s creditors and bailiff enforcement proceedings were suspended. This was the first element of the hospital’s recovery program.
