Krystian Góra from Milików decided to take the school-leaving exam for the second time. There would be nothing particularly unusual about that, were it not for the fact that this repeat attempt took place after… 28 years.

What prompted the resident of Bolesławiec County to take this step? As the newly qualified graduate admits, it was the difficult situation in the catering industry, where he works. (It is possible that, because of the coronavirus pandemic, he will have to change careers.)

Interestingly, he remembers his time studying very fondly. As he himself emphasizes, the whole situation brought him a great deal of fun. The Polish proverb proved true here: appetite grows with eating. The more deeply our fellow countryman immersed himself in his studies, the more enjoyment they gave him.

Mr. Krystian completed his one-month plan—he took Polish, mathematics and English—in excellent fashion, passing on his very first attempt. He is now considering which field of study to choose.

Congratulations!
