Nina Malinowska-Dziewięcka, an actress and singer who graduated from the Jan and Halina Machulski Acting School in Warsaw, and Dariusz Dziewięcki, an actor and director, are the new instructors at the Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury. Their workshops will begin in September, but registration is already open. Registration for the 2021/2022 school year is accepted until 13 August 2021. The form and information are available on the Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury website.
With the start of the 2021/22 school year, Nina Malinowska-Dziewięcka will lead the new comedy and theatre workshop “IMPRO”. Participants will be able to create improvised performances—humorously, but quite seriously. The only limitation will be their own imagination. Everything else is allowed. Everyone will be able to contribute their ideas and even become part of the set. Together with her husband, Dariusz Dziewięcki, Nina forms the Nine Berries family musical duo. They are also the authors and actors of the TUP TUP theatre for children.
Dariusz will lead a film creation workshop at the Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury. This is a completely new offering in Bolesławiec. Participants will learn that becoming an influencer does not require expensive film equipment at all. “Use whatever you have at hand, start creating recordings and edit them without using complicated tools! The idea, creativity and inspiration are what count—and then it’s ready,” the director explains.
Amateur filmmakers will learn framing, editing, working with light and sound, and set design. After a year of study, workshop participants will be able to record and edit film material ready for publication, for example, on YouTube, TikTok or Facebook.
Dariusz Dziewięcki is an actor and director by passion and education. His short film “W oparach Nikisza” won an award for best cinematography at The 48 Hour Film Project Filmapalooza festival (New Orleans, 2013). He was also nominated in the best director category. An additional distinction was the film’s presentation during the Cannes Film Festival.
