After more than three months of investigation, the police submitted to the court a motion to punish the parish priest of Christ the King Parish on Jana Pawła II Street in Bolesławiec. Coronavirus epidemic restrictions that were in force in the spring of this year were violated in his church.

On April 2, we reported on exceeding the limit on the number of people in the church on Jana Pawła II Street in Bolesławiec. There were more than 100 people in the building, several dozen too many. People also failed to keep their distance.

Only some time after our report was published, more Sunday Masses were introduced in the church, and spaces were also created between places in the pews.

“We submitted the motion without specifying a penalty,” says Anna Kublik-Rościszewska of the Bolesławiec police.

We hope that the court will treat the priest like any other citizen.
