We return to the unsporting incident of 17 July. In Lubomierz, local team Stella hosted Czarni Lwówek Śląski. It was a friendly match. Unfortunately, it was not possible to play it to the end. Towards the end of the match, tensions and pushing broke out between players from both teams.

The entire incident took place five minutes before the end of the match. According to the police account, “pushing” occurred between players from the opposing teams. It began when a Czarni player kicked a footballer playing for Stella. The latter did not let the opponent from Lwówek Śląski get away with it; he turned around and struck him in the face, cutting his eyebrow.

A one-year suspension for striking an opposing team’s player
The footballer who struck the player from Lwówek Śląski was suspended for one year. He normally played for Chmielanka Chmieleń and had been loaned to the team from Lubomierz. On that fateful Saturday, the referee stopped the match while the team from Lwówek was leading.
The police arrived on the pitch, recorded the incident and informed the participants that they could pursue their rights in civil proceedings. As lwowecki.info reports, the player from Chmieleń will not play for Stella Lubomierz again. This decision was made by the Lubomierz club.
