Bolesławiec criminal investigators identified the perpetrator of the brazen jewelry theft based on CCTV footage and the information they had gathered. – The 30-year-old suspected of committing the theft was detained on one of the city’s streets. He is a resident of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship who is temporarily staying in Bolesławiec County – reports asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer for the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
The spokesperson adds:
Pretending that he wanted to buy his mother a gift in the form of a gold bracelet, the suspect wanted to take a close look at jewelry worth PLN 1,800. When he received it, he took advantage of the sales assistant’s momentary inattention and ran out of the store with the bracelet.
He sold the stolen goods. The man has already been charged with the brazen theft of the bracelet and, among other things, power tools from a store. He faces up to eight years in prison.
