– On Thursday, July 15 this year, police officers received a report that a man had fallen into a fast-flowing stream in Płóczki Dolne – reports Sgt. Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski. A police patrol immediately went to the scene.
Fortunately, witnesses pulled the 66-year-old onto the bank before the police arrived. It turned out that the senior, who was intoxicated, had been trying to reach his home. At one point, he lost his balance and fell into the water.
– Due to the strong current following the recent torrential rains, the man was unable to get out of the water onto the bank by himself – the spokeswoman adds. – Witnesses came to his aid and pulled the 66-year-old out. Thanks to their quick reaction, a tragedy was avoided.
