– Last Friday, several minutes before 10:00 p.m., Chojnów police officers went to intervene at one of the city’s supermarkets. It turned out that a store employee had shown vigilance and keen observation, foiling the escape of a woman who had stolen sweets, reports Asp. Anna Grześków from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica.
And there would be nothing unusual about this if not for the fact that the 26-year-old thief stole as many as… 70 bars of branded chocolate worth over PLN 800 in total. It emerged that the woman from Legnica simply intended to sell her haul.
The woman was arrested. She may now face a sentence of three to as many as five years in prison.
