– During a patrol of Leśna, police officers from Leśna stopped the driver of a Seat for a roadside check. It turned out that the driver did not have a driving licence, and the vehicle was not authorised for road use because its registration certificate had been retained – reports asp. szt. Justyna Bujakiewicz-Rodzeń, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lubań.
She adds:
Given the man’s nervous behaviour, the officers decided to test him for drugs in his system. The 52-year-old then threw two plastic bags containing a white substance under the police car. The examination confirmed that the substance seized was drugs, weighing approximately 10 grams.
What is more, it emerged that the man had got behind the wheel after taking drugs. (Blood was taken from him for further testing.)
The 52-year-old was fined PLN 500. He could now additionally face up to three years in prison.
