Over the past three days, officers of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec checked the identities of 450 people, carried out 172 interventions throughout Bolesławiec County, tested 129 drivers for sobriety, inspected 97 vehicles and arrested 17 people. Six drivers who got behind the wheel despite having previously consumed alcohol fell into the officers’ hands. Police officers seized 10 vehicle registration certificates: 8 because of poor technical condition and 2 because the vehicles did not have valid technical inspections.
Friday, 2 July
- Police officers from Nowogrodziec arrested a woman who had stolen a payment card. Officers are currently carrying out activities aimed at determining where and when the suspect used the card.
- Traffic police arrested a 43-year-old man from Bolesławiec who was wanted by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Gdynia. (Additionally, the man will face charges for driving despite having his driving privileges revoked.)
- Police officers from the Prevention Department arrested a 47-year-old man suspected of forging a vehicle purchase and sale agreement.
- Three more people possessing drugs were also arrested. Community police officers secured several portions of marijuana from men aged 34 and 37.
- Meanwhile, a police patrol found methamphetamine on a 47-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County.
- In the evening, community police officers arrested a 72-year-old resident of Legnica who has a one-year-and-six-month prison sentence to serve.
Saturday, 3 July
- Two more people possessing narcotic substances were arrested. A 23-year-old man who had methamphetamine and was wanted because he had a prison sentence to serve—more than two months for thefts—and a 22-year-old man who also had methamphetamine on him.
- During the night from Saturday to Sunday, officers arrested an intoxicated passenger-car driver. The man lost control on a bend in the road and struck a power pole. The 24-year-old had 2 per mille of alcohol in his breath.
Sunday, 4 July
- In Łąka, three residents of Lubusz Voivodeship were arrested: a 51-year-old motorcyclist was riding with 0.6 per mille; a truck driver had more than 0.5 per mille; and a 50-year-old motorcyclist had 0.4 per mille of alcohol in his breath.
- On one of Bolesławiec’s housing estates, two people made a citizen’s arrest of a 69-year-old man who, drunk (1.4 per mille), drove to a shop in a Volkswagen.
- The 46-year-old driver arrested in Nowogrodziec had the same amount of alcohol.
- Moreover, traffic police arrested a 49-year-old resident of Zgorzelec who violated a court ban on driving when he got behind the wheel.
