The officers competed for the title last week, from platoon commander to battalion commander and commanders of independent subunits. The candidates had to demonstrate knowledge of the principles, forms and methods of conducting training and methodological activities at platoon, battery and battalion level; knowledge of the “Regulations for Land Forces Operations”; knowledge of their own and the enemy’s combat equipment; tactical symbols; and military abbreviations. Following the tests, a master and runner-up in methodology and a master and runner-up in tactics were selected in each personnel group of the 23rd Artillery Regiment.
The competition results were announced during Monday’s assembly. After a commemorative order was read, the commander of the 23rd Artillery Regiment, Col. Marek Wasielewski, honored the laureates with letters of congratulations and the winners with trophies.
The title of “Master of Methodology of the 23rd Artillery Regiment” among senior officers was won by Lt. Col. Michał Kozarski. Maj. Piotr Żera was the runner-up. Among junior officers, the master’s title went to 1st Lt. Iwona Skrobuk-Jadach, while 2nd Lt. Arkadiusz Stawicki was the runner-up.
In 2021, the title of “Master of Tactics of the 23rd Artillery Regiment” among senior officers was won by Maj. Piotr Żera, while Lt. Col. Robert Oleś was the runner-up. Among junior officers, the master’s title was won by Capt. Łukasz Lenart, and 1st Lt. Iwona Skrobuk-Jadach became the runner-up.
The assembly also provided an opportunity to present the Honorary Badge of the Land Forces, awarded to Maj. Bartłomiej Gruma by the Inspector General of the Armed Forces Branches for special achievements during military service, as well as promotion certificates to the first non-commissioned officer rank, which were received from the commander by six senior privates. The artillerymen’s assembly concluded with a parade of the regiment’s subunits.
