The incident occurred on June 29 this year. – The duty officer at the District Police Headquarters in Kamienna Góra was notified of a road incident that occurred on national road No. 5, in the Kamienna Góra municipality. The report indicated that a BMW vehicle hit safety barriers on a bend in the road – reports junior aspirant Przemysław Ratajczyk from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław. – The emergency services that arrived at the scene had to use specialist equipment to remove two men trapped inside the car.
The passenger-car driver was drunk; he had more than 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his system. What is more, he pretended to be… Belgian, claiming that he did not know the Polish language.
Spokesperson: – Unfortunately, as a result of this accident, the passenger traveling in the BMW suffered serious bodily injuries and was transported to the Specialist Hospital in Wałbrzych. There, the 61-year-old was admitted to the intensive care unit in serious condition.
The 29-year-old will now have to face serious consequences for his extremely irresponsible behavior.

DRIVER! Remember that operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated is punishable by up to 2 years in prison! If an intoxicated driver causes an accident resulting in death or serious bodily harm, the court may impose a sentence of up to 12 years in prison. In addition, the court imposes on anyone who decides to get behind the wheel after drinking alcohol a ban on driving motor vehicles for up to 15 years. Furthermore, anyone driving a vehicle while intoxicated must expect onerous financial consequences. Regardless of the sentence imposed, the court is required to order such a driver to pay a monetary contribution of at least PLN 5,000.
