As the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways is adapting national road no. 18 to motorway standards, the motorway overpass in Golnice will be dismantled, along with the unused footbridge over which trains once ran. (A new structure will be built).

The contractor undertaking the works has agreed to dismantle both the footbridge and the overpass. This is good news for Bolesławiec municipality: not only will it not have to improve the technical condition of the footbridge in question, but it will also make money from it. The steel structures will be cut up and sold, with the proceeds going to the municipal budget. In fact, a buyer has already been found.
