The training day is similar to the one every soldier remembers from the time of their “basic training,” and it begins with wake-up. This is followed by a quick morning wash, drawing weapons, breakfast and roll call, at which appearance must not raise any objections. Appearance is checked personally every time by the company commander, who shows no leniency.
An important element of the training of future soldiers is drill. It is the first element of military-discipline training with which a soldier comes into contact during preparatory service.
23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment:
From the very beginning, future candidates for soldierhood have had the chance to feel the effort that a soldier undergoes during training. Each training day brings them new experiences. During live-fire training, the recruits learned about the sequence of actions for firing an assault rifle, conducting fire and providing first aid. The sweat shed during exercises and the effort put into training will remain in their memories for a long time.
“The first shot fired from a firearm is an incredible feeling, and the tremendous noise and recoil that accompanied it intensified my impressions. Training is very intensive every day, and I can confirm that I have felt tired more than once,” comments one of the recruits.
