On 14–16 June, exercises related to eliminating the effects of natural and structural disasters were conducted at the Żagań Training Area of the Land Forces (Pstrąże training ground, Bolesławiec County), using SGRT and SGPR.

County Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec:

The first element practised was the organisation of a column at the assembly point in Trzebień, followed by travel to the point where personnel and equipment were received at the training ground in Pstrąże. There, they began by building a camp with social facilities, using equipment belonging to the “Lubań” logistics company.

After the exercise leaders had prepared the locations for the scenarios, the laborious implementation of the tasks planned for these training workshops began. The main focus was on improving techniques for securing and stabilising damaged building structures, locating buried people, and making openings and moving structural elements using cable winches and truck-mounted cranes.

The Bolesławiec firefighters, who trained during the first two days, also used this time to learn more about the work of rescue teams with dogs specialising in rubble searches.

The exercises were visited by the deputy head of the KW PSP in Wrocław, Senior Brigadier Bogusław Brud, and the county commander of the PSP in Bolesławiec, Brigadier Andrzej Śliwowski. During their free time, the firefighters watched the disastrous Poland vs. Slovakia match with the latter. The firefighters comment:

According to some exercise participants, if the Polish footballers had applied themselves to the match as much as the firefighters did to their training, we would have won 3–0.
