The Bolesławiec county hospital is developing at an incredible pace. We regularly report on the facility’s new investments. The next idea is a burn unit. Importantly, the initiative came from the medical team.
As istotne.pl is told by Kamil Barczyk, head of the Health Care Team in Bolesławiec, this is only the beginning of the process. However, the demand for this type of centre is enormous, because there is no facility meeting the Ministry’s stringent guidelines either in Lower Silesia, Opole Voivodeship or Lubusz Voivodeship. In reality, seriously injured patients could be referred here even from the other side of Poland.
Where will the new unit be established?
In the current anaesthesiology and intensive care unit and in the old operating theatre.
How many places will there be?
The unit is to have 10 beds.
How much will it cost?
The estimated cost is PLN 10 million. The purchase of a hyperbaric chamber and the establishment of a stem cell and tissue bank will be necessary.
When?
As Director K. Barczyk tells us, summer 2022 is a realistic deadline.
